Suresh Raina, the Chennai Super Kings batsman, has become the first player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to score 3,000 runs. Raina achieved the feat during his knock of 35 against the Kings XI Punjab in their IPL 2014 clash at Cuttack. Raina has scored one century and 19 fifties in 107 IPL matches.

 

Raina is currently the leading run-scorer in the history of the IPL and he is more than 300 runs clear from the second player. Rohit Sharma is second on the lift with 2695 runs. Raina is second on the list of the most sixes in the IPL. He is on 120 and Chris Gayle is miles ahead at 187.
