In the 53rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings were in firm command after the first nine overs at 84 for one. Just when things were sailing along for Chennai, Suresh Raina came down the track off the bowling of Yuvraj Singh and was stumped by Yogesh Takawale. It was rather lazy from the king of IPL. That brought MS Dhoni to the crease. Faf du Plessis was already going strong and was all set for a big score. He had hammered the bowlers at the top of the order.

Yuzvendra Chahal came on to bowl another over and there was tragedy for Bangalore and the du Plessis got a big glove on to his pad and the ball bobbed up in the air and was taken by Yogesh Takawale but umpire Nigel Llong shook his head. Just runs came of the 10th and the 11th over.

Earlier in the match, Virat Kohli’s innings of 73 helped Royal Challengers Bangalore post a competitive total of 154 for six against the Chennai Super Kings in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Bangalore stuttered early, but it was Kohli’s knock that took them to this total. The second highest contribution on the day was 25. Ashish Nehra marked his comeback with three wickets, all of them bowled.
