While Rohan Prem top-scored for team striking 34, the rest of the side were restricted to single digits with Uttar Pradesh’s bowling end. With Uttar Pradesh having won two games, Gujarat had to win against Jharkhand to improve their run rate. Gujarat kept that in mind and restricted Jharkhand to 142 with RP Singh picking the first wicket. Although they got wickets at regular intervals, Ishank Jaggi’s 39 and Kumar Deobrat’s 21 in the innings helped them to 142 total. Jasprit Bumrah, S Shinde and Rujul Bhatt picked a wicket each. Alrthough Parthiv Patel got out early after scoring 16 from 10, the middle-order took on Jharkhand attack as they went on to reach the target.  “We had to win by 50 runs (margin) or get the runs in 15.3 overs to just go past UP so that we can put pressure on them, but it is good that we got it done in 14.1 overs so,” Parthiv elaborated later to BcciTv. Priyank Panchal (35 off 28) and Manprit Juneja (33 off 24) kept the pace going and scored as quickly they could. Chirag Gandhi (25* off 11) and Kalaria (15* off 5) then helped the bowlers to reach the target.

After gaining victory, Parthiv said, “We like this format the, way we play. We back oursleves to do the job. We had a good game against UP. We lost in the last over, but I thought we have done well so far. We were looking to finish the game and if one wicket had fallen we would have won the game in normal course but we had to go as quickly as possible,” he added. Uttar Pradesh and Baroda have won their respective matches in the afternoon session, which has brought down the hopes of Gujarat reaching the final spot.
