Despite defeating India in T20 World Cup 2016, West Indies were elated and looked forward to meet their opponents in after the match. Caribbean’s champion Dwayne Bravo met Indian skipper MS Dhoni and gave special mention to him over social media. Bravo mentioned, “Win, lose or draw …always #macha #champion #respect“. Bravo and Dhoni carry a long cricket relation, thanks to Indian Premier League (IPL), the cricketers have played together in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a while and they will be back together in the new franchise this year in Rising Pune Supergiants. They will meet again in the opening match of IPL 2016 with Rising Pune Supergiants taking over Mumbai Indians on April 9. After the match, Dhoni was in trend for taking dig on the journalists for inquiring on his retirement plans. The incident happened when during the post-match press conference, Dhoni was asked by the journalist if he would quit international cricket following this loss, to which Dhoni called the journalist on the stage, who sta by his side, as Dhoni politely asked him a series of questions that included that if he wanted him to retire, and if he doesn’t like his gameplay or fitness, to which the journalist replied that he did love his style. Dhoni also asked if he could play until ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, to which the journalist again said yes, to which he asked the final question that if he should retire, to which the journalist said no.

Lendl Simmons and Johnson Charles powered West Indies into the final of ICC T20 World Cup 2016, defeating India by 7 wickets with 2 balls remaining.
