T20 World Cup 2026 LIVE Updates: Today, the ICC will reveal the full fixture list for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup, finalizing dates and venues for the 20-team tournament in India and Sri Lanka from February to March 2026. Key players in the competition include Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Angelo Mathews, and Harmanpreet Kaur. After breaking their ICC title drought with victories in the USA and the West Indies in 2024, India enters the tournament as the reigning champions. The schedule announcement marks the official start of the countdown to their home title defense.
Most organizational details have already been finalized. Twenty teams, divided into four groups of five, will compete in the group stage, followed by the Super 8, semifinals, and final. The draw features emerging teams like Nepal, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Italy alongside cricketing giants such as India, Pakistan, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and Bangladesh.
Co-host Sri Lanka has been placed in a challenging group with Australia, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Oman, while India is in a comparatively favourable group with Pakistan, the USA, Namibia, and the Netherlands. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight. Under a neutral-venue arrangement, all Pakistan matches, including the crucial India-Pakistan clash, will take place in Sri Lanka.
The announcement will clarify dates, venues, and the knockout pathway. Indian cities Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Delhi are expected to host league matches, while Sri Lankan venues, including Colombo and Kandy, will host the finals with Colombo set to host if Pakistan qualifies. Fans can now start planning, marking key fixtures, and anticipating potential blockbuster matches.
