Tamil Nadu replied with 174 for one in 79 overs against Delhi’s first innings score of 315 all out in 139.2 overs at close on the penultimate day of their four day Under-22 cricket quarterfinal match for the Col C K Nayudu trophy on Friday.

 

Resuming at the overnight score of 272 for six, Delhi’s overnight not out Manna Sharma made 46(5×4) and Varun Sood was unbeaten with 23 (1×4). For Tamil Nadu, medium pacer Mohammed claimed 4 for 41 and spinner B.Aparajith took 4 for 55.

 

In reply, Tamil Nadu lost opener M.Kaushik Gandhi early and were 32 for one when Vijay Shankar joined the other opener L Suryaprakash. These two consolidated the hosts innings by adding 142 in 65.2 overs for the unbroken second wicket.

 

At close, Suryaprakash was on 72 (5×4) and Vijay Shankar on 66 (7×4). (PTI)
