Tamim Iqbal completes 29th ODI fifty as Bangladesh cruise towards target in 2nd ODI vs Pakistan at Mirpur

Tamim Iqbal brought up his 29th One-Day International (ODI) half-century as Bangladesh were comfortably perched at a score of 83 for one at the end of 10 overs during the second game of the three-match ODI series against Pakistan at Mirpur on Sunday. Iqbal, who struck 12 fours during his stay at the crease, also completed the 50-run partnership with Mahmudullah, who was batting on 12 on the other end. Pakistan earlier finished on a respectable score of 239 for six at the end of 50 overs, with Saad Nasim (77) and Wahab Riaz (51) getting their maiden ODI half-centuries to help their side recover from a wobbly score of 77 for five. Nasim, who was playing his second ODI, shared partnerships worth 77 and 85 with Haris Sohail (44) and Riaz respectively. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. While Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali did not announce any changes for his side, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza made his return to the Bangladeshi team after missing out on the first game, in which he was serving a one-match ban due to slow over-rate in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 quarter-final against India.
