Team India has lost the first match of the test series against South Africa. After that big defeat, the Indian team will try to bounce back in the second game which will be held in Guwahti on Saturday.
The captain of the team, Shubman Gill, is expected to miss the second game of the series as well due to his neck injury. However, nothing is confirmed yet as the sources say that he was asked to rest.
If Shubman Gill sits out, Sai Sudharsan is likely to return and will be his replacement for the next game and bat at No.3. A spot that Washington Sundar took in the last match.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul would be the opening pair of the team like every time. As expected, Shubman Gill is unavailable for the game. Sai Sudharsan might get the chance to bat at No.3 spot. Rishabh Pant will be in 4th position.
Speaking about all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel will likely keep their spots. However, Washington Sundar is expected to return to the middle order. Dhruv Jurel will support him in the batting section.
Speaking about the bowling department, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are expected to play in the second game. However, including Nitish Kumar Reddy in the squad might make good chances of the Indian team to secure a win over South Africa.
India Predicted XI for 2nd Test against South Africa:Â Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.
