India’s star batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been advised to wear specially designed shoes to protect his injured right foot.

According to a report in Mid Day, Dr. James Calder, a UK- based Orthopedic Surgeon examined him on Monday, and then advised the little master to meet Anne-Marie a leading podiatrist based in London.

O Connor is considered to be one of the leading podiatrists in UK. She has given her podiatry and gait analysis to many of the top athletes in the world using a video technology to analyse running.

Sachin Tendulkar was earlier ruled out of the entire ODI series against England because of a toe injury, dealing a massive blow to a struggling India which had already been laid low by a spate of injuries to key players.

Tendulkar was carrying this injury for quite a while but the problem aggravated just before the opening match of the five-match series at Chester-le-Street on Saturday.
