England, at 491 for 9, have finally got all the answers after conceding the urn to Australia in the third Ashes Test. In the ongoing penultimate encounter, England are ahead of their opponents. After bundling out Australia for 327, England riding on the back of Alastair Cook‘s unbeaten 244 have taken a 164-run lead and would look to consolidate further. The third day belonged to Cook, who single-handedly batted the entire day and faced more than 400 balls. His 244 not out is the highest individual score in the calendar year in Tests, and will look to rewrite history by slamming his maiden triple ton on Saturday. However, he will require adequate support from No. 11 batsman, James Anderson.

Post his heroics, Cook having a miserable run in the current series told, “It s probably been one of the more emotional (ones) from where I d been on this tour. It meant a lot last night and then today I was quite proud that I managed to back it up. After all the emotion came out yesterday, to get a real big one for the team was really important.”
