Alastair Cook will play his 150th Test this Thursday. Cook said his main focus is on beating Australia and has no idea about his retirement.

Cook is the leading run scorer for England in Test with 31 centuries, but has failed to perform in the ongoing Ashes. Cook managed to score only 67 runs in his 4 innings, as England are 0-2 down in the series. Reflecting on Cook s poor performance, Kevin Pietersen and Mitchell Johnson suggested that Cook may opt for retirement at this point.

All my focus is on this game

I haven t made any decision on anything. All my focus is on this game, the biggest of our lives coming up, Cook said at Perth. For the people who are saying that, they ve had no contact time with me, Cook said. They wouldn t know the extra nets I ve been doing behind closed doors.

Cook also talked about how he is practicing and claims this England s side to be most hard working.

I have no idea

I was with (my batting coach) yesterday for an hour-and-a-half in the morning, desperate to keep working on my game. That s probably not a guy who s given in. To be honest with you, I have no idea (when I ll retire). And I ve said that since I gave up the captaincy. I will say this about this England side, I ve never seen a side a work as hard as this side, he said.
