Australian keeper Matthew Wade cleared that there were no spat with Indian batsman Harbhajan Singh on Sunday when the duo was found exchanging words after the umpire turned down a leg before appeal which the latter faced.
In the 106th over of India’s first innings the umpire rejected an appeal against Harbhajan. It was the first ball faced by Harbhajan and Wade was found exchanging words with the batsman. However Wade said there was no spat.
“There was no row,” Wade was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.
“I think he got hit on the pads and he said he was outside the line. He said that there was nothing much and we moved on. There was definitely no spat or anything like that. It was purely a cricketing matter…”
When asked why Michael Clarke and Shane Watson intervened then, Wade replied, “Oh. That also came on the screen! I can tell you that there was no spat or anything like that. I cannot tell you much more than that.”
