Throwback: Watch MS Dhoni speak about Sourav Ganguly in a rare old video

There may have have been constant comparisons between India’s two skippers — MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly but they have mutual admiration for each other. Going by the statistics, the wicketkeeper-batsman is surely way ahead than the Prince of Kolkata. It was Ganguly who played a key role in getting Dhoni on board and the latter grabbed the golden opportunity with both the hands. It’s been more than eight years, since Ganguly retired from international cricket. He did well as both, captain and player. He is also considered to be man behind changing the face of Indian cricket. Ganguly is one of the rare players who have played more than 100 Tests and his milestone came against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground in 2007. Prior to his 100th Test, Dhoni, who was the captain of India’s limited over side, was asked for his views on Ganguly. As Dhoni is known for his cool  and calm attitude, he replied modestly by lauding the former captain’s contribution to Indian cricket and also spoke about his his fearless captaincy.
