Tony Irish appointed as new head of FICA

South Africa‘s Tony Irish has taken over as the new Executive Chairman of Federation of International Cricketers’ Association (FICA). Irish has replaced Paul Marsh, the son of former Australian cricketer, Rod Marsh for the post. Actually, Irish is the head of South African Cricketers’ Association (SCA). Marsh, earlier this month had said that he is resigning from his position as the head of Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA).
Marsh on his part congratulated his successor on Twitter by saying,
Tony Irish a great appointment by @FICA_Players as the new Executive Chairman. Highly respected leader. Well deserved.

In fact, Irish was elected at FICA’s annual general meeting that was held in Melbourne Previously, Tim May was heading FICA for a long period.
