The thing which is more concerning than his low scores were the way in which he got dismissed against England pace attack. Samson struggled against deliveries that were aimed at his body, and continuously failed against short balls.

Sanju Samson seems to have missed the bus. For the fifth time, getting out in the same manner. He has played a similar shot. I think he is trying to show his ego. He is trying to say ‘no, no, I will play this shot’. Is he going on an ego trip or struggling? I am not sure,” Srikkanth said in his Youtube channel.

Samson has given Indian team a massive injury scare as he suffered a fracture to his index finger after he got hit by a delivery by Jofra Archer during the 5th T20I against England. He is reported to be sidelined for more than a month due to this injury.
