U-19 quadrangular series to begin on Tuesday

The quadrangular series comprising of India, Australia, Sri Lanka and West Indies will be held at Visakhapatnam, starting September 27

Teams from India, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Australia will clash for the title in the one-day cricket Under-19 Quadrangular Series to be played here from September 27.

Addressing a press conference here today, President of the Andhra Cricket Association D V Subba Rao said that the BCCI had allotted the matches to Visakhapatnam.

“U-19 matches were very important to pick up the talent cricketers. The four teams have already arrived here and they would go for practice on September 26,” he said.

“The matches would be conducted at ACA-VDCA stadium at Pothinamalliahalem and Diamond Jubilee Port Stadium here and the series will conclude on October 9,” Rao added.(PTI)
