Pakistan has a reputation of producing cricketers with poor fielding skills and there have been plenty of players from the nation who has given numerous hilarious moments while playing. ‘Dumb’ moments produced by Pakistani players in international cricket have been plenty. Umar Akmal is one of the most talented players in the current Pakistan team. However his wicketkeeping has been the subject to several trolls. His wicketkeeping skills are totally opposite to his fielding skills as he is a much better fielder. In the past, he has given some controversial statements and received the flak for being insensitive. ALSO READ: When Umar Akmal was bowled over by a Norwegian girl, literally!

Well, there must be some motive behind those statements but after looking at his recent tweet, Umar seems to be proving himself a laughable character. To be honest, this is not the first time, he has made fun of himself through a tweet, in fact, Umar does it on a daily basis with his random tweets but this one is truly is insensitive and if not done on purpose, it can be termed as ‘utterly foolish’. Coming to that tweet, recently, former Australian pacer Max Walker died and reacting to that incident, Dav Whatmore did a farewell tweet on November 28. Umar, retweeted it by writing “V nice @dfwhatmore.”

Akmal realised that he made a very insensitive tweet and deleted it but what if Whatmore had seen that tweet. Whatmore, a former Australian cricket, is former Pakistan’s coach under whom Umar was nourished. Well, let’s hope some sanity strikes him and he stays away from such insensitivity.
