Gul ready for World T20 and Asia Cup

Karachi: Jan 26, 2014
Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul is reportedly set to unleash his pent-up aggression on all the opponents in the upcoming Asia Cup and ICC World T20 2014 in Bangladesh.
Gul said that he is recovering well from his injury and is ready to lead the Pakistan bowling attack in Asia Cup and World T20, adding that playing against Asian opponents in Bangladesh would benefit Pakistan in their preparations for the World T20 and so it is a golden opportunity for them to adjust to conditions in Bangladesh.
According to The Nation, Gul revealed that he has been training very hard for four to five hours and also spending two hours in the gym, which has worked very well in keeping him in shape for the upcoming events.
Stating that he would love to spearhead Pakistan’s bowling attack along with Junaid Khan, Gul further said that the pace attack looked a bit shaky without him as during his absence, fast bowling was heavily revolving around Khan with the other bowlers hardly playing any Test cricket before.
Gul also said that like batsmen, bowlers also develop a partnership, adding that he is hopeful that Pakistani fast bowling would be in same old shape sooner rather than later.
