Ashish Nehra was in a jovial mood during the press conference ahead of India’s match against Bangladesh in the ICC World T20 2016 on Tuesday. During the press conference, Nehra was asked about the social media war between India and Bangladesh to which he replied that he was not on any social media platform and still using his old Nokia phone. “You are asking this question to a wrong person because I am somebody who is on social media. Soon after hearing this, the entire room filled with journalists burst into laughter. Nehra has been an integral bowler for India in the recent past. He has more or less provided India with the breakthrough in the powerplay overs. Nehra also said that they cannot afford to take Bangladesh lightly, as they look t progress to the next stage of the competition. “Only two teams will qualify. Till the time [you do], you need to approach every game as a knockout game. There’s not too much room for error,” the 36-year-old said in a pre-match press conference Tuesday. Everyone in the dressing room, we are not taking Bangladesh lightly,” he added.


India went into the the T20 World Cup as favourites, but suffered their first setback in the opening match as they lost to New Zealand. They however bounced back with a convincing win over arch-rivals Pakistan. A win for India in the match will ensure that they are in pole position to make it to the semi-final.
