Brisbane Heat skipper Chris Lynn has been in phenomenal form in the Big Bash League (BBL) this season and he carried it on by hitting five sixes in a row off the bowling of Ben Hilfenhaus. Brisbane Heat were playing against melbourne Stars at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Thursday, where Lynn took on Hilfenhaus in the sixth over of the innings, He was batting on 23 off 14 deliveries and after the next five deliveries, he was on 53 off just 19 balls. Lynn came into bat at No. 3 after wicketkeeper Jimmy Peirson was dismissed off his very first delivery. Lynn and Lendl Simmons then put on  79-run stand for the second wicket, which also included these five big ones from Lynn. Lynn was eventually dismissed for a 24-ball 56 as he holed out in the deep off Adam Zampa. Courtesy of his innings and some valuable contributions down the order, Brisbane heat finished with 188 for 7 in their 20 overs. They won the match by a whooping 56 runs as Samuel Badree’s five-wicket haul completely dismantled the Melbourne Stars. Stars finished at 132 for 9 in their 20 overs with Even Gulbis remaining unbeaten on 61.

Brisbane Heat are now placed sixth in the table with six points and will have to do an awful lot if they are to make it to the semi-final of the tournament, which begins from January 21. Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers are right at the top of the table and look certain to go to the nexy round. The final of the tournament will be played on January 21.
