Harsha Bhogle is a well-known cricket analyst and big name in the cricket fraternity. He’s been associated with cricket for a reasonable amount of time now and has numerous memories of the game.
In the videos from ‘Out of the box with Harsha’ on You Tube, he rekindles his old memories of the South Africa’s tour of India in 1991, 1993 and 1996. He speaks about the ambience and zest the Proteas bring when they arrive in India. The 1991 series was a defining stage for South African cricket as that was their first official International cricket series. Bhogle discusses his experience when the news was declared about the tour and he was in Sharjah. He also voices his thoughts about the South African greats like Allan Donald, Clive Rice and Kepler Wessels.
Bhogle also talks about the glorious last over that Sachin Tendulkar bowled while defending six from the final over to carry his team over the line as India emerged victorious in the semi final of the 1993 Hero Cup.
In the last video, he throws light on the 1996-97 series, where they played three Tests and one solitary ODI. Many iconic cricketers like Herschelle Gibbs, Lance Klusener and VVS Laxman debuted in this series.
Bhogle remembers every minute details of it as if it happened yesterday. Watch the videos in order to get a closer look at what Bhogle has to say and stay tuned for much more from one of the most heard voice in Indian cricket.
