He has the same slinging and round-arm action, and bowls at a menacing pace. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?  No, he isn’t Lasith Malinga. Afraz Khoso is a tearaway fast bowler who has got an identical action, similar to the Sri Lankan genius.

He has already got eyeballs popping in his part of the country. He was unearthed during the fast-bowling camp organised by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) under Wasim Akram. The bowling legend rates him highly and says he has the makings of being a great, very soon if mentored well. Who apart from Akram can be a better mentor for a left-arm bowler?

He has definitely shown enough promise. Turning up for Larkana Region in the Haier Twenty20 cup, the left-armer picked four wickets against Azad Jammu & Kashmir Region.

Truly Pakistan just produces fast bowlers like anything.
