Vijay Mallya who company owned the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise till last year was in the bitter end of things on the night of the IPL 2016 Final. The business tycoon who has left the country and is currently staying in the United Kingdom (UK) was made fun of after he tweeted in support of his RCB team. The Virat Kohli-led RCB were on a mission to chase down a massive 209-run target set by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and that is when Mallya reached out to Twitter and shared his feelings. Mallya is the owner of an F1 team and he congratulated the F1 drivers along with a mention about his RCB team. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad , Final match, IPL 2016
Absolutely delighted with Checo’s podium and Nico’s 6th in Monaco earning 23 World Championship points. Now RCB batters must score 210

The tweet led to a lurry of trolls from social media users and Mallya wasn’t spared a bit. The trolls were aimed at Mallya for leaving the country and running away from the government and not paying the money taken by him from PSU banks who had declared him a defaulter.

Mallya’s RCB side though could not chase down the total and ended up falling 8 runs short of the target. Sunrisers Hyderabad won their first IPL, thanks to an impressive performance by their captain David Warner. However, Mallya would have been happy after seeing Virat Kohli having a perfect season with the bat and ending up as the holder of the Orange Cap for the season.
