Former India cricketer, Vinod Kambli, once again finds himself in the center of controversy. An FIR has been filed against him and his wife Andrea for allegedly beating and abusing their domestic help after the latter demanded her salary. The maid Soni filed a complaint at the Bandra police station and has accused the duo of illegal confinement and non-payment of dues. According to Zee News, the maid has complained that the Kambli and his wife confined her to a room after she asked for her payment. Soni headed to the police station as soon as she was let out of the confinement and made the complaint. Kambli is yet to be called by the police for questioning. A case has been registered against him and his wife under IPC sections 342, 504, 506 and 34.PC 342, 504, 506 and 34. Kambli, Sachin Tendulkar’s childhood friend and co-record holder at the school level of a mammoth 664-run partnership, was a promising Indian cricketer, but his career fell apart due to multiple controversies.
