Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma may not spend time with her boyfriend and India vice-captain Virat Kohli, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to disallow wives and girlfriends along with the Indian cricket team for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, which begins next month in Australia and New Zealand.
The tournament begins on February 14, the Valentine’s Day and India will have their first match in the tournament against their arch rivals Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval. India have never lost from Pakistan in a World Cup match and this game will be extremely crucial on many fronts.
According to Times of India, Anushka, who shared the same hotels with Kohli during the Test series in Australia will not be alongside the cricketer during the tournament that will go on for 44 days.

An official from the BCCI said, “This rule of not allowing wives and girlfriends was always there in the past. In a big tournament like the World Cup, the cricketers should stay away from distractions.”
Another official said, “You can’t stop them from visiting Australia if they want to be a part of the euphoria, can you? The board won’t have any problem as long as the players are kept away from family matters during the tournament.”
The report added that the BCCI has no problem with players’ families travelling during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, as long as they do not stay in the same hotel.
