Virat Kohli breaks Don Bradman’s record with INCREDIBLE century in Perth

The Indian batter completed his 30th Test century with a sensational knock against the Aussies to climb above Sir Don Bradman, who scored 29 Test tons in his illustrious career

India star batter Virat Kohli has made history yet again. The 36-year-old finally broke his century drought in red-ball cricket and smashed a magnificent ton against Australia in Perth. This innings was long overdue and will live in the minds of Indian fans for a long long time.

The century came off 143 deliveries and saw India declare on 487/6 and set a mammoth target of 534 for Australia. With this knock, Kohli completed his 30th ton in Test cricket, breaking the record of legendary Australia cricketer Sir Don Bradman who scored 29 Test centuries in his illustrious career.

Coming in at number 4, Kohli played some magnificent shots and looked composed through his innings. The spectacular knock included 8 boundaries and 2 sixes.

This is Kohli’s ninth Test century against the Baggy Greens and also his ninth ton in the Border-Gavaskar series. The 36-year-old is the Indian batter with the second-most centuries against Australia in Tests only behind the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who scored 11 tons against the opposition.

Australia now have a mountain to climb and have 2 full days of cricket to achieve the humongous target. However, India will consider themselves as the favourites following their brilliant bowling performance in the first innings.
