Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are at 86 for two against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after 15 overs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Chris Gayle is batting on 38 and AB de Villiers is on one. Virat Kohli was stumped by MS Dhoni off Jadeja for 27 runs in the 15th over. Parthiv Patel was the first batsman dismissed for 10 runs. Bangalore are chasing a 139-run target. This is Match 42 of IPL 7. Chennai captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat at Ranchi.

Raina bowled a good 10th over despite Kohli coming down the track and pulling one for a four towards wide long-on. That gave Kohli confidence as he stepped out of his crease and drove one off Jadeja over long-off for a six. Gayle was struggling at the other end. He had to play an uncharacteristic reverse-hit past the first slip to get a four in the 12th over bowled by Raina.

The 50 of the partnership between Gayle and Kohli came up in the 12th over as well. But Gayle still could not get to grips with the nature of the wicket. He came down the wicket, moved his stance, tried to get underneath the ball, but he just could not get the desired result. Chennai finally got the breakthrough in the 15th over. Kohli wildly charged down the track and missed one from Jadeja. Dhoni quickly clipped the bails and Kohli was stumped for 27 runs off 29 deliveries.

AB de Villiers almost got stumped on the very next delivery as he tried a reverse-sweep. Dhoni knocked the bails off in a flash, but de Villiers brought his foot back in time. The next delivery was hit towards extra-cover, but Ashwin dropped a tough chance. Gayle then hit a four towards deep mid-wicket and then a six over long-on.

Earlier, Chennai posted a total of 138 for four in their 20 overs. Suresh Raina scored an unbeaten 62 off 48 deliveries with six fours and one six. David Hussey scored 25 off 29 deliveries. Varun Aaron took two wickets for 29 runs.
