Virat Kohli faces trouble with a fake social media account like many other celebrities did in the past. An impostor created an account in Instagram by the name ‘iamvkohli’ and managed to get over 60 thousands followers.

When Kohli was asked about this account, his spokesperson confirmed that this was not his account. Jogesh Lulla handles the cricketer’s social media accounts. While speaking with Hindustan Times he said, “The Instagram account ‘iamvkohli’ is not Virat’s account. He is not using Instagram at the moment but is considering an account in the future. For now, he is only on Facebook and Twitter.” He also added, “We are in touch with Instagram to resolve the issue so that his fans are not misled.”

Using this social handle, he has been posting Kohli’s photographs and also has been commenting on other celebrities’ Instagram accounts. He linked this account with Kohli’s official Twitter handle so that the account looks original.
