Former Australian cricketer-turned-commentator heaped praise on Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Friday. A fan on Twitter asked him to pick his favourite cricketer of the generation.

Despite all the four players have a different technique in comparison with each other, the options the Twitter user gave featured Steve Smith, Joe Root, Kane Williamson and Virat Kohli.

The former Australian allrounder picked Kohli as his best of the generation and reckoned ”he owns white-ball cricket.”

The 32-year-old’s astronomical numbers in ODIs speak for itself, he has amassed 11,867 runs in 248 ODIs with the help of 43 tons and 58 half-centuries while playing for Team India.

Despite the poor run of form in the recently concluded New Zealand tour, Kohli is still the number one batsmen in the latest ICC rankings in ODIs.

Moody was currently in Pakistan as the head coach of Multan Sultans and could be seen in India in the SunRisers Hyderabad camp if the Indian Premier League (IPL) happens.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus outbreak has affected both the PSL and the IPL – while the Pakistan league has been suspended, IPL has been postponed till April 15.

The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has said that close monitoring will be done and if the league has to happen, it has to be a truncated one.
