Virat Kohli: Pleasure to have played with Virender Sehwag

Virat Kohli, captain of Indian Cricket Team for the Test format, congratulated Virender Sehwag for his stupendous international career on twitter. Like thousands of well wishers and many more cricketers, Kohli took to twitter to express his feelings regarding the retirement of Sehwag. Earlier on October 20, Virender Sehwag confirmed his much debated retirement. He mentioned that he will no more be playing in any International format of the game and that he will discontinue Indian Premier League( IPL) as well. Kohli, who has shared a lot of time with Sehwag in the dressing room, said that it has been a pleasure for him to have played with Sehwag. Kohli congratulated him pointing out the fact that Sehwag has had a marvelous career throughout. He also thanked Sehwag for the Guidance and memories he provided. Virat wrote on twitter, “Pleasure to have played with you @virendersehwag bhai. What an amazing career. Thanks for the guidance and the memories. Modern day legend!”

Making his international debut against Pakistan in the year 1999, Sehwag went on to play 104 Test matches and 251 ODI matches for the country. Sehwag scored 8586 Test and  8273 ODI runs in his career. Taking 219 ODI wickets, he can be considered as decent off break bowler as well.
