Virat Kohli notched up another record in his list of many during India’s Pink ODI against South Africa at Johannesburg. Kohli surpassed Mohammad Azharuddin’s tally of 9,378 ODI runs, to now become India’s fifth highest run-getter. Kohli after his 75-run knock at Wanderers has 9,423 runs from 198 innings.

The list is topped by Sachin Tendulkar, who has scored18,426 runs, followed by Sourav Ganguly with 11,221. Rahul Dravid comes in third with 10,768 runs. Fourth on the list is MS Dhoni with 9,954 runs. Kohli has so far in the ongoing series scored 393 runs with two centuries and a fifty to his name. This is also the most by any player in an India-South Africa bilateral ODI series.

India lead the six-match ODI series 3-0. South Africa need 290 to win the fourth ODI and stay alive. It was in the last ODI at Cape Town that Kohli scored his 34th ODI hundred. This was also Kohli’s 12th ODI hundred as India skipper, surpassing Ganguly’s tally of 11.
