When Kohli reached 54 not out in the 32nd over of India’s innings, he took his career total to 14,235 runs in just 305 matches, overtaking Sangakkara’s tally of 14,234 runs, which came in 404 ODIs 99 matches more than Kohli. This incredible feat once again highlighted Kohli’s consistency and dominance in the format.

Virat’s idol, Sachin Tendulkar remains ahead of him on the list as he is holding the record of 18,426 runs in 463 ODIs. This means the chase master is now second only to the legendary player Tendulkar in the all time ODI run charts.
