Virat Kohli has grabbed the top spot among cricketers in the fifth Forbes India Celebrity 100 List. His prolific run on the field saw him achieve newer heights as he was also named the ICC One-Day International (ODI) skipper of the year on Thursday. To add to his good fortunes, Kohli has also managed to be at the apex of the celebrity list released by Forbes, on a whole, he is ranked third just below Shah Rukh Khan with Salman Khan being at the top. Forbes’ consider two factors while penning down the list, i.e. estimates of entertainment-related earnings and estimates of fame. The time span for the consideration of the above mentioned factors was from October 1, 2015 to September 20, 2016.
Kohli is indubitably one of the most loved cricketers in contemporary cricket and has been in an insane form in the recent times. He has scored runs at will across formats and gave a testament of his supremacy with the bat. The second spot in the table has been taken by India s shorter-formats skipper MS Dhoni with an overall ranking of 5. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar manages to grab the third position with an overall ranking of 7 and features in top 10 despite being retired from the game long back. It is a huge achievement for the cricketers, especially Kohli as he continues to entertain his fans and followers on and off the field.
