India Test skipper Virat Kohli took over his Instagram account to express his concerns over smoke and pollution that has engulfed his home city of Delhi. Delhi since Diwali has seen an apocalyptic rise in the smoke level across the length and breadth of city. Kohli has been busy preparing with the Indian Test side to take on the visiting England side for a 5-Test series. Kohli shared a long message along with the video. Kohli wrote,” PLEASE act urgently and take measures to improve the situation in delhi. The future of our city’s youth depends on how we act now. It’s heartbreaking to see the pollution levels rise so high. It’s the need of the hour to take care of the environment people. Please be more aware.” Kohli expressed concern over schools, educational institutes and cricket games being cancelled due to the Delhi Smog. Kohli said it is not good for the youth of the city that such things are happening and we all as a city should be responsible towards our kids.

Kohli is currently in Rajkot with Team India, where they take on England in the first Test starting on Wednesday.
