Virat Kohli has often of late spoken on the issue of crunch scheduling leading to fatigue in the side IANS

With India playing non-stop cricket over the past year, Virat Kohli has often of late spoken on the issue of crunch scheduling leading to fatigue in the side. Meanwhile, BCCI acting President CK Khanna has said that the board needs to take up the issue of crunch scheduling seriously. India would be having very little time to prepare for the upcoming tough tour of South Africa, following the conclusion of the ongoing series against visitors Sri Lanka. Khanna has also stated that the BCCI also needs to take a call on whether to have three back to back series in a short span of time. On Kohli’s view against crunch scheduling

“Virat is the Indian captain and his view point on cricketing matters should be taken with utmost seriousness. We are proud how the team is performing but if players are feeling fatigued, we need to have a broader view on the issue. “I think we should analyse if it is a good option to have three back-to-back series with hardly any break for the players. The matter should be taken up at an appropriate forum. It will be great if this can also be included in the agenda for the December 9, Special General Meeting,” said Khanna, as reported by PTI.

“The two series against New Zealand and Sri Lanka were replacement slots for the Pakistan series. Only the Australia series was in the Futures Tours and Programmes because as per our MoU with CA, the Test and limited overs series will be separate tours when the two countries tour each other.”
