Former India opener Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to wish his good friend, former national and Delhi teammate Ashish Nehra a speedy recovery. Nehra underwent a successful knee surgery last night at a hospital in London, Nehra seemed alright post surgery in picture tweeted by former Indian batting star VVS Laxman on Twitter showing the thumps up sign as well. Sehwag who had coined the name ‘Nehra ji’ for Nehra over social media looked in high spirits all day on Twitter constantly urging fans to wish Nehra ji happy and safe recovery. Sehwag even had sent out a meme with Nehra telling his injury that he will drink their blood (main tera khoon peejaunga) a famous hindi movie dialogue with the hashtag #GetWellSoonNehraJi. Sehwag did not stop their he had earlier in the day also tweeted about Nehra ji being a superhero because of the dream comeback he had made for the Indian national team and showcased his bowling prowess in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016. In the tweet Sehwag compared Nehra to comic superhero Batman.

Nehra has played 8 out of the 12 IPL matches for the Sunrisers this season taking 9 wickets at a decent economy rate of 7.65. His best bowling figures were three for 15.
