Rohit Sharma’s innings secured MI a place in Qualifier-2:
As the team rode on the aggressive knocks of openers Rohit Sharma and Jonny Bairstow, Mumbai Indians claimed a 20-run victory in what seemed to be a close-encounter clash. MI has now made it to to the Qualifier 2, where they will face Punjab Kings.
Punjab Kings were the table toppers this season and lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Qualifier 1. This meant RCB secured their place in the final, and PBKS got a place in the Qualifier 2. MI and PBKS will now face each other on Sunday (1st June) in order to secure their place in the title deciding clash against the Rajat Patidar-led side.
