It all started during the second One-Day International (ODI) of the series between Bangladesh and England, where both team’s players got involved in ugly spats and Ben Stokes was the part of it. After England lost the first ODI against Bangladesh, during a normal handshake Stokes got angry over Tamim Iqbal and pushed him. That was truly an unsporting gesture by a cricketer who is vice-captain of the side. Stokes seems to have not come over that incident during the ODI series as he continued to do something similar in the warm-up match between Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI and England. After the match ended in a draw, players were as usual shaking hands with each other but Stokes ignored doing that by showing no courtesy when a Bangladeshi batsman came forward to a handshake. Stokes pulled his hand just before the Bangladeshi player extended his hand and moved towards the umpire. The batsman would have surely felt bad. Well, looking closely, that gesture by Stokes looked intentional and sadly it lacked sportsmanship. Stokes represents the England side who are known to be the gentlemen of this sport but now one will have to rethink of the same.

Stokes is currently among the most important part of England side across the formats and considered to be one of the finest future all-rounders of the game.
