Just when it seemed that the third India – West Indies Test being played at Gros Islet will also end in a draw, especially after rain affecting almost an entire day’s play, Bhuvneshwar Kumar swung back things in India’s favour. The lanky pacer from Uttar Pradesh, who was not a part of the playing XI for last two Tests, produced an exceptional display of swing bowling to decimate the hosts. Bhuvneshwar ended the innings with figures of 5 for 33, thus taking a fifer on his Test comeback. His effort not just helped India gain a healthy 128-run lead, but also put the visitors in a commanding position at stumps on day five. His scalps included that of middle-order batsmen Marlon Samuels, Jermaine Blackwood and lower middle-order players Shane Dowrich, Jason Holder as well as tailender Alzarri Joseph.
