India star all-rounder Hardik Pandya gave a taunting send-off to Pakistan batter Babar Azam after dismissing him for 23 runs during their Champions Trophy clash on Sunday.
The moment came after Babar nicked Pandya’s delivery into the hands of wicketkeeper KL Rahul which saw India get the first wicket of the match leaving the Men in Green on 41/1 after 8.2 overs.
Babar opened the innings alongside Imam-ul-haq, who was brought in as a replacement to Fakhar Zaman. Babar got off to a good start, hitting 5 boundaries in his knock of 23 runs, however his promising innings came was brought to an abrupt end by Pandya.
Visibly fired up after being hit for a four on the previous ball, Pandya ensured he had the final say. As Babar was walking back to the pavilion, Pandya gave him a fiery send-off. The moment soon went viral on social media platforms.
Things soon went from bad to worse for Pakistan as they lost Imam for just 10 runs in the very next over thanks to a fantastic throw from Axar Patel. The wicket saw the Men in Green get restricted to 47/2 after 9.2 overs.
