ICC confirmed hybrid model for Champions Trophy? 1st promo released!

With all the signs coming out for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to be held in a hybrid model as Pakistan being the host, an official statement is yet to come out. Between all these ongoing issues the official broadcasters, Star Sports, have released their first promo for the upcoming event.

According to the reports, both the PCB and BCCI have given their approval for the hybrid model, and it has been decided that the made model is also going to be held for all the upcoming competitions that will be held in India until 2027.

“It’s been agreed in principle by all parties that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held in the UAE and Pakistan, with India playing its matches in Dubai. It’s a win-win situation for all stakeholders,” an ICC source told PTI.

The official broadcasters have released the latest ICC Champions Trophy promo amid the ongoing chaos for the event. Even though the official schedule of the tournament is yet to be announced, some big names in international cricket like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, etc. were seen in the promo.

The name of the host for the event has not been given anywhere in the official promo, which might further give confirmation that the Champions Trophy might be held in a hybrid model, and India is supposed to play in Dubai as per the reports.
