A heartbreaking video has been making rounds on social media, where an Indian batter lost his life right on the cricket pitch due to a heart attack. During a cricket match in Firozpur, Punjab- the batter hit a six, and then collapsed seconds after the shot.
The video of the incident is going viral on social media, and shows the batter hitting the ball for a six. Right after he hit the shot, he was walking to the middle in order to (maybe) talk to his playing partner, when he went down on his knees and seemed to be in serious discomfort.
He was down on his knees for a couple seconds, and then he lost himself and completely fell down on the ground. As soon as he lost consciousness, all the other players tried attempting Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but it all went in vain. It was later discovered that the player lost his life because of a heart attack. The batter was later identified as Harjeet Singh.

A similar incident happened back in 2024, where a 35-year-old cricketer lost his life because of a cardiac arrest in-between a cricket match at the Garware Stadium in Pune. The player was named Imran Patel- who was playing as an opener, and started complaining about chest pain after he spent some time on the pitch.
