The opening matchweek of the Ranji Trophy 2017-18 concluded last week. Most of the teams were off to an emphatic start. However, when it came to the match between Baroda and Madhya Pradesh at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore, the visitors were in deep trouble throughout the match. Baroda did not fair good with the ball as MP posted a massive total of 551. Meanwhile, the visitors too lost wickets in regular interval, as the top-order failed. However, it was the Pathan brothers in the form of Irfan and Yusuf, who contributed to an important 188-run stand for the fifth wicket. Nevertheless, Yusuf Pathan managed to hit a century to give Baroda a hope of making a comeback into the tie. Despite suffering a follow on, Yusuf did not slow down as he struck another century. This time, his brother Irfan was at the other end, who celebrated Yusuf's century in an unique style. Irfan left his bat on the ground as he clapped and jumped in joy before going to his brother and hugging him. Nevertheless, Baroda could not do well enough as MP comfortably won the match by eight wickets. Irfan Pathan took to his Twitter handle to post the video of his celebration.
