WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah attends Coldplay’s Ahmedabad concert, Chris Martin dedicates special song for India pacer

India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was spotted at Coldplay’s second show at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on January 26. Bumrah received massive cheers from the crowd when Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin addressed him in the audience.

The band then also gave a fantastic tribute to the Indian pacer by dedicating a song for him. They also jokingly said that they didn’t like Bumrah destroying England’s batters in matches between the 2 teams.

Add Cricket Country as a Preferred Source

“O Jasprit Bumrah, my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We did not enjoy watching you destroy England, wicket after wicket,” Coldplay sang at the concert.

Coldplay also displayed a signed Test jersey as a mark of respect towards the pacer at his home stadium in Ahmedabad.

This wasn’t the first time that the British band had mentioned Bumrah during their show in Mumbai held a few days ago. During the show, Chris Martin joked that the band had received a legal notice from Bumrah’s lawyers for using his name during the concert. 

“I’m so sorry, but I have to read a letter from Jasprit Bumrah’s lawyer. I have to do this because, otherwise, we could be sent to prison and wouldn’t be able to perform in Ahmedabad,” Martin said.
