WATCH: Litton Das gets Booed by Fans in BPL match- Team comes in support of the Bangladeshi star

In the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), one of the most well-known wicketkeeper-batter of Bangladesh, Litton Dan, was booed by cricket fans. Litton was fielding near the boundary when the fans started shouting “bhua, bhua (a word that means fake)”, while pointing towards him. Das did not say anything to the fans, but he kept looking at them. The video of this incident soon went viral.

Social media users are now even liking this incident to the recent incident of hate towards the minotiries, especially Hindus, in Bangladesh. This incident reportedly took place during Chaka Capitals vs  Fortune Barishal match. Litton plays for Dhaka Capitals in BPL.

Dhaka Capitals came in to back the player. “You may see a blurred video of someone being booed; we see a national hero smashing the fastest century in BPL history and being part of a record-breaking partnership,” Dhaka Capitals wrote on its Facebook account.

“You see criticism; we see a star batter who holds Bangladesh’s highest individual ODI score and the country’s best Test batting rank. You see obstacles; we see history being created. Litton, you are a symbol of our love. You are our pride,” the post further stated.

After having to face such a harsh moment, the social media post by Dhaka Capitals might have caused some relief to Das, and he then made a post in order to reply to the love that he got.

“Truly touched by this wonderful gesture from my team, Dhaka Capitals. Thank you to everyone who supports me and all athletes, through every high and low. Your belief means the world to us,” read the post by Litton Das.

Notably, Das has not been selected in the Bangladesh squad for the Champions Trophy 2025, which might be the reason of the booing by the fans, or the people just pressing the minority.
