WATCH: Phil Salt take Stunning catch against Punjab Kings in IPL 2025 Final

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) faced each other in the final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. RCB batted first in the match and set a target of 191. PBKS had an explosive start to their innings in the chase. But, Phil Salt gave Punjab lineup their first shock with a spectacular catch. The video of this dismissal is going viral on social media.

Josh Hazlewood was bowling the fifth over. Hazlewood kept the last ball of the over in line with his body. Priyansh Arya played a pick up shot on Hazlewood’s length ball. The ball went in the air and to catch it at deep square leg, Phil Salt ran to his right and first threw the ball in the air and then himself crossed the boundary line. However, he managed to push the ball in and then came in from outside the boundary line and took the catch.

On the back of a brilliant performance by their bowlers led by Arshdeep Singh and Kyle Jamieson, Punjab Kings restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore to 190 for nine in the Indian Premier League final on Tuesday. Virat Kohli also scored 122 runs in 35 balls for RCB. He was out after scoring 43 runs at a strike rate of 85. Kohli hit only three fours in his innings.
