Team India women made history as they beat South Africa by 52 runs in the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 and won their first World Cup. However, the tournament got their new champions after 25 years.
After achieving this milestone, Team India got the chance to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, Narendra Modi won hearts on social media with his sweet gesture towards Indian players. Team India visited his residence on Wednesday to celebrate their victory.
Pratika, who played a key role in the tournament by scoring 308 runs in six matches, missed the semi-final and final due to a hairline fracture. Because of her injury, she didn’t receive a winner’s medal after the final match. PM Modi’s thoughtful act during the team’s visit has since gone viral, earning widespread praise from fans.
However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted the team at his residence. The injured Indian player Pratika Rawal also attended the event in a wheelchair. What happens after that wins everyone’s heart as the PM notices that Pratika is struggling to eat food.
