In the spirit of The Ashes, former England football players and now pundits played a friendly game of cricket on-air to check their cricketing skills. Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard as a pre-series build up, played the game in BT Sports studios, which is the official broadcasters in England.
The former English players indulged in the gentlemenâs game during half-time break in the UEFA Champions League, Match Day 5 games.
One can witness, former Chelsea player, Lampard turn out to be the best bowler, while Liverpool’s Gerrard was the best batsmen between the lots. Manchester United’s Ferdinand kept wickets, while Scholes had a wild run with the bat. Host Gary Lineker did both commentary and batting.
