Kohli touched coach's feet after RCB's win over DC
After his match-winning half-century against Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and India’s superstar batter Virat Kohli had a lovely moment with his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma.
Virat Kohli scored a half-century with a decent outing of 51 off 47, and the audience cheered each and every run from the star batter. He had saved his team from a disastrous position, as RCB was at 26/3 at one point of the match. He stitched a match-turning partnership with Krunal Pandya, and also made great individual contribution in the team’s 6-wicket victory.
After the match, Virat Kohli met his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma. Kohli hugged him and respectfully touched his feet. On top of that Rajkumar even punched the former RCB captain, as a fun way to celebrate his half-century.
Put in to bat, KL Rahul top-scored with a 39-ball 41 but DC lost wickets in regular intervals before Tristan Stubbs’ 18-ball 34 lifted them to a competitive total of 162 for 8.
RCB then chased down the target in 18.3 overs overs with Pandya (73 not out) and Virat Kohli (51) making contrasting fifties. Tim David smashed 5-ball 19 not out and knocked off the winning runs.
For DC, Axar Patel (2/19) snapped two wickets.
Earlier, Bhuveshwar Kumar (3/33) and Josh Hazlewood (2/36) snapped three and two wickets respectively, while Krunal Pandya (1/28) and Yash Dayal (1/42) accounted for one wicket each to restrict DC.
