It is no secret that Indian skipper Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri share a warm and easy-going relation. Shastri s appointment as Team India coach had a lot to do with Kohli s liking for him. With the commencement of Kohli Shastri era, the pair has started conversing in sign language on the field, as witnessed in the first Test between India and Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens.

On Day 5, just minutes before India s official declaration, Kohli used hand gestures towards the dressing-room to ask for further action. Shastri responded in a unique manner using his hands to signal further course of action.

BCCI shared the video on their Facebook handle. It can be said that Shastri is asking Kohli to head past the 200-run mark in quick time before calling a declaration.

India went to narrowly miss out on winning the Test after bad lights stopped play saving Sri Lanka Monday blues at Kolkata. The second of the three-Test series begins on November 24 at Nagpur.
